Let's Do The Math
JurisPrep Financial Breakdown
If you are reading this page, you are likely the kind of person who doesn't make major financial decisions lightly. You’ve seen our claim—that we help students attend law school for free—and you want to see the math.
Law school is perhaps the only industry where the "sticker price" is almost entirely optional, yet the vast majority of people pay it. At JurisPrep, we view the LSAT and the application process not as hurdles, but as financial instruments. If used correctly, they can generate a 20x return on your investment, and that's not even taking into account your earning potential after graduating.
Below, we break down the financial reality of three different paths: solo studying and self-application, hiring a "prestige-focused" competitor, and the JurisPrep strategy.
Expense Item | Solo Studying & Self-Application | Industry Avg. Competitor | The JurisPrep Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
LSAT Prep (24-Hour Package) | $0 | $4,110 | $3,700 |

Why the Numbers Look This Way

To the cost-conscious applicant, a $10,700 investment in LSAT Coaching and Admissions Consulting might feel high. However, we need to look at what that money is actually buying you.
1. The "Competitor Penalty"
Most top-tier admissions firms focus on prestige at any cost. They want to see you get into the highest-ranked school possible so they can put a logo on their website, but they rarely prioritize your financial outcome. In this scenario, you pay a premium for their consulting services, and then you still pay significant tuition (in this table we've given them the benefit of the doubt, and gave them credit for half your tuition covered by scholarships). You probably get into law school, but you end up only slightly better off than if you had done nothing at all.
2. The Fee Waiver Strategy (Saving $1,350 immediately)
Most applicants view the $2,250 in application fees as a cost of doing business. We don't. Part of our admissions consulting service is aggressively pursuing fee waivers. By working with us, the first ~$1,300 of your consulting fee is effectively paid for by the money we save you on the applications themselves.
3. The "Scholarship Score" vs. "Admission Score"
There is a massive difference between a score that gets you in and a score that gets you paid. Imagine the following scenario:
-
The Status Quo: You study on your own, get a 160, and get accepted to a good school with $0 in aid. You owe $198,000.
-
The JurisPrep Strategy: Our 99th-percentile coaches push you to a 170+. That 10-point difference is worth approximately $195,000 in tuition. When you divide that savings by our $10,700 fee, you are looking at a 1,500% Return on Investment.
The “Worst Case” vs. “The Risk”
We want you to be very clear on the risks.
-
The Risk of Working With Us: You invest $10,700 and, in a worst-case scenario where you only get a partial scholarship, you still end up significantly better off than the $198k baseline. Keep in mind that all of our full-service admissions consulting clients have received at least one full ride to a top 100 ranked law school.
-
The Risk of Going it Alone: You save the consulting fee, but you risk leaving money on the table. Every point below your potential LSAT score and every unpolished essay is a literal withdrawal from your future bank account.
Our Transparency Policy: Information is always free.
If you've spent any time on our socials or digging through our website, you’ve likely noticed we share a lot of information for free. This is intentional. If you have the time and the discipline to implement our strategies yourself, we want you to have the information to do it. We will answer your questions about personal statements or logical reasoning for free until the cows come home.
We only charge for the implementation. We charge for the hours of top-tier one-on-one coaching, the unlimited rounds of brainstorming, the hands-on narrative building, the editing, and the polishing. We charge for everything that goes into providing you the support and resources you need to save 94% of the cost of attending law school any other way.
To further support you in making this journey as affordable as possible, we offer payment plans for nearly every one of our packages, and charge $0 in interest or additional fees.
For the cost-conscious student (or parent—we hope you're reading this too), the question isn't "Can I afford to work with JurisPrep?" It's "Can I afford not to?"
